New Discoveries

Reese has made a new discovery this week. When he gets quiet, I now know to look in the bathroom. If you visit our house, please close the bathroom door behind you.

I also caught him in the act of a not so new discovery. This also happens in the bathroom. Yet another reason to close the door behind you.

The door stop is a springy one. He loves flicking it and watching it wiggle as well as the noise it makes. Our master bathroom is the only door in our house with that type of door stop. He has located the springy door stops in all of the homes we go to regularly. I am not really sure how he found ours, but he did. If we visit you, just know that he will be on the look out.

A Day of Firsts

Today has been a big day for little Reese. It has been a day filled with firsts: first flight, first trip to Memphis, first hotel stay, first time in a swimming pool, and first time in his new tub.

I have plenty more pictures to share. Unfortunately, we only have Bryan's MacBook with us and I don't know how to turn the pictures. I will have to wait for some help.

Thinking outside the box... kind of

The First Retreat

Reese participated (sort of) in his first youth retreat this past weekend. We had our annual Disciple Now Weekend. This year it was a little different because we had 5 or 6 churches together. All of the joint activities were held at our church. Saturday we had inflatables out in the parking lot. We let Reese try it out.

You can see his excellent gymnastics skills, but look at the face. He was not so sure about this moving floor thing.

Though he wasn't crazy about the inflatables, he did love playing in the fountain.

The Kissing Bandit

Reese is getting this kissing thing down pat. He doesn't do it under pressure though (he is already embarrassed about kissing in front of his friends) so don't be disappointed if you don't see this first hand. When Bryan and I kiss he smiles and laughs and waits for his kiss. It is so cute! Here are some kisses that we caught for you...

We couldn't be more blessed! Not only is he the cutest kid, he is also very sweet! Next time you see him, ask him for a kiss and you just might get lucky. So far he has saved all his kisses for mommy and daddy, but it could be your lucky day!

Popsicle Night

Tonight Reese got an after dinner treat, his first popsicle. Due to the fact that he has a dairy allergy, we have been very cautious with what we feed him. At Whole Foods I found some popsicles for kids that are allergen free. As a side note, they have a great selection of things if you or your kids have food allergies.

I was thinking that the popsicles would be really bland, but they are really good. They taste like good Kool Aid, not the watered down VBS kind. Here are some photos so you can share in the experience with us.

The first lick

He's getting the hang of it.

When he could bite off pieces he loved it.

I'm a growing boy

Thursday Reese had his 9 month check up. He is a healthy and happy little guy!

29 1/4 inches long
22.5 lbs

We enjoyed our first Easter with the little fella and have lots of pictures to share this week. Stay tuned!
